THE MARINE SOCIETY COLLEGE OF THE SEA (MSCoS) was inaugurated in 1938 as part of the Seafarers Education Service (SES) to provide the means whereby British seafarers who made their living at sea could continue their education and benefit from education services and facilities taken for granted by their counterparts ashore.
Those who work with the Sea Cadet Corps are also eligible to benefit from our learning and development provision. There are some additional services available to the SCC
here, including information about adult senior awards through
CVQO.
By the way, did you know that seafarers can can now top up their HND/FD to a full honours degree without ever stepping ashore?
