How it works...
Within just two weeks of enrolling you will receive specially written, high-quality course materials from our partner provider – the National Extension College.
Details of your specially selected personal tutor will also arrive with these materials.
As well as being a qualified teacher, h/she will understand the conditions of life at sea and be familiar with the pressures upon you.
You then work through the study materials under the supervision of your tutor, returning regular assignments.
Your tutor marks your work with constructive comments and contributes helpful feedback.
All tutors have email facilities and offer telephone support as well as the traditional mail service.
When you feel you are ready to sit the examination the College of the Sea will make all the necessary arrangements and you will be invited to pay the appropriate examination entry fee.
