You don’t need to have studied in this subject area before, nor do you need to have any prior qualifications.
Examination issues
Each element is followed by a written assignment, which is submitted and marked by your tutor. There is no external examination required.

Certificate in Drugs Awareness (Level 2) awarded by ASET.
Seafarer-friendly issues
This is a text-based distance learning programme and does not require attendance during the course. The course can be started at any time and completed over a period of up to one year to suit the student. Study pack contains everything required to complete the programme. Assignment submission and tutor support are available by email; internet access is not required.

Cost
£108 inclusive of carriage, tutor support and certification fees. This is a discounted fee available only to seafarers and only through The Marine Society College of the Sea. (Instalment plan available).
Duration
Around 100-120 hours to complete but may be studied over any duration up to one year.
